Training BarnCarolyn Vanier
has owned horses most of her life. Her formal training began while she was in grade school with Peggy and Liz Conroy at Lothwinich. She was active in 4-H as a young person taking guidance from Nancy Englehart. She continued her training while attending Skidmore College where she went on to represent Skidmore at the National Championships during 1989 earning a third place finish and helping her team place third overall as well. Her efforts helped land Skidmore at nationals again in 1990 where they earned their first Nationals first place finish! Carolyn can now be seen showing at the local level and has earned many year-end Championship awards.

Carolyn provides riding instruction at the farm either on your horse or one of her school horses. Instruction includes not only riding but horsemanship, grooming, basic medical care, etc. She can take you to the show ring (specializing in hunter under saddle and hunter over fences) or just show you how to better enjoy your horse at home!
