Training BarnSam Trombley
started his horseman career as a young boy raising and training his own western reiners. As a young man he owned and operated stables in both the US and Canada. Eleven years ago Sam began training and driving harness horses. For nine years he successfully operated SUN 'E' HILL Farm and this past year purchased his own facility Win Place and Show Farm. Here at the farm Sam covers all aspects of the standardbred business from breaking/training the younger stock to actively racing all over the state of NY and Canada. Sam also runs a full breeding facility at the farm - from standing the stallion to foaling out your mare and all aspects inbetween. (With all the extra incentives offered right now...New York State has never been a better place to breed!).

Training BarnCarolyn Reid
has owned horses most of her life. Her formal training began while she was in grade school with Peggy and Liz Conroy at Lothwinich. She was active in 4-H as a young person taking guidance from Nancy Englehart. She continued her training while attending Skidmore College where she went on to represent Skidmore at the National Championships during 1989 earning a third place finish and helping her team place third overall as well. Her efforts helped land Skidmore at nationals again in 1990 where they earned their first Nationals first place finish! Carolyn can now be seen showing at the local level and has earned many year-end Championship awards.

Carolyn, in partnership with Sam Trombley, runs Win Place & Show Farm. Carolyn provides riding instruction at the farm either on your horse or one of her school horses. Instruction includes not only riding but horsemanship, grooming, basic medical care, etc. She can take you to the show ring (specializing in hunter under saddle and hunter over fences) or just show you how to better enjoy your horse at home!
